Guess it’s been a little over a year since you came out and helped us with Badger and Mamadog. As you remember, Mamadog (Badger’s mama) was a rescued feral dog…vicious and aggressive to people and other dogs. I was ready to have her put down, but Sally convinced me to give you a call. What an amazing transformation after that one visit!
I struggled to walk them one at a time before your visit, because either one was strong enough to pull me face down, and both together was like tying the leashes to a horse… that bites!
Thank you for taking the time to show Sally and me how to take control. You’ll be happy to know that Mamadog has become a well mannered lady, but is still an awesome watchdog. I walk them everyday TOGETHER, with no pulling. There is still a little leash aggression if another dog gets closer than about ten feet and lunges, but that has only happened once in over six months. No aggression whatsoever to people.
I still tell friends about you putting a leash on Mamadog! Sally had 9-1 dialed, and her finger resting on the 1. I was pondering whether the ambulance could get there before she ripped open an artery or ate a vital organ. In less than a minute, however, she was calm submissive. Unbelievable.
Thanks again for your help, Tod. You have a gift.
