Check eligibility and enroll in supervised Group Socialization classes in the Dallas-Fort Worth area co-hosted by Redeeming Dogs (Tod McVicker, IACP CDT/PDTI/CDTA) and On The Ball K9 Training (Summer Milroy).
Unlike chaotic public dog parks that often trigger fights and worsen reactivity, our Group Socialization classes use structured Large Field Socialization with a calm pack of dogs and professional trainer supervision.
Dogs with defensive or fear-reactive histories start safely on leash or with muzzle conditioning as needed and progress at their own pace toward calm, off-leash pack coexistence.
Participation is open exclusively to current training clients of Tod McVicker and Summer Milroy so every dog and owner enters the field with established communication foundations.

How Pack Rehabilitation Works

A Better Way Than Public Dog Parks

Why Structured Group Socialization Works

Does your dog have trouble getting along with other dogs or new people?
Are leash walks a constant struggle to stay away from the triggers that make your dog react?
Showering your dog with treats will not fix this problem, and neither will harsh punishment.
The safest, fastest teacher that shows a dog how to react differently is a balanced pack of dogs.

Many of the worst things that happen to dogs occur inside public dog parks, where chaotic, unsupervised energy often triggers aggression after a dog is rushed or attacked.
On The Ball K9 Training and Redeeming Dogs offer a safer, structured alternative.
Our Group Socialization classes combine Large Field Socialization with the hands-on experience of Summer Milroy and Tod McVicker to teach your dog that other dogs are not out to get them.

Current training clients of Summer and Tod are invited to participate in this class.

Group Socialization Case Studies & Stories

Case Study 1 • Three-Session Turnaround

Chelsea the English Bulldog (Dismissed From Daycare)

Chelsea had already gone after neighborhood dogs on and off leash and had been banned from her dog daycare, who referred her owners to our Group Socialization class for rehabilitation.

Session 1 (May 24): Chelsea went after three dogs within the first five minutes when they entered her space, which Tod interrupted immediately.
She chose to sit in the corner of the room for the remaining 50 minutes to process what was happening around her.

Session 2 (June 13): At the start of class she went straight to the corner, sat quietly for 20 minutes observing the pack, and then stepped out on her own to walk calmly with the pack for the remaining 40 minutes.

Session 3 (June 27): Chelsea immediately joined the pack at the start of class and walked calmly with the other dogs for the entire hour without a single incident.

Client Story 2 • Sue & Mate

Mate the Re-Homed Australian Shepherd

"Mate came to me at 2 years old with severe fear aggression after being raised in a small enclosed backyard.
Even after 30+ weeks of obedience classes and passing Therapy Dog training, he still had aggressive outbursts when large dogs stared at him.
We started Group Socialization with Mate in a muzzle, and both of us were shaking.
Mate was out of his muzzle before the first class ended, started without the muzzle by the third class, and by the fourth or fifth class was one of the first dogs off leash.
Recently on two therapy visits, when a Newfoundland puppy and a Rottweiler lunged toward him after a ball, Mate simply turned away calmly with zero reaction.
Thank you, Tod and Summer!" • Sue & Mate

Client Story 3 • Sharrell & Tess

Tess: From Defensive Teeth-Baring to Happy Greetings

"Summer, I just wanted to say thanks to you and Tod for the great success Tess has had as a result of the socialization classes.
Before attending class, Tess would show her teeth and become very defensive and stressed if other dogs came near.
Tess also began the first class with a muzzle, and it was off within that very first session.
Now when we meet other dogs on the street, she is no longer afraid, wags her tail, and can even be left in the yard with other dogs and play.
I would recommend this class to everyone." • Sharrell & Tess
